Organisers Revise Event Timetable After Thursday Morning Fatality
The 2026 Briggs Equipment North West 200 schedule has undergone significant changes following the tragic incident that occurred during Thursday morning’s Superbike qualifying session.
Superbike qualifying was the first session of the day on the famous Triangle circuit, but following the fatal crash at Station Corner, all remaining on-track activity scheduled for the afternoon was cancelled as emergency procedures and investigations took place.
Race organisers later confirmed that Thursday evening qualifying sessions would now replace the opening races originally planned for the night programme. At the time of writing, officials have not yet confirmed whether Saturday’s timetable will be revised further to include any additional races beyond the six already scheduled.
