Honda Racing UK and Tommy Bridewell Set for Wildcard Appearance at WorldSBK Cremona Round

Honda Racing UK and Tommy Bridewell, the current British Superbike championship leader and reigning champion, will make a wildcard appearance at the ninth round of the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) in Cremona, taking place from 20-22 September.

After a successful wildcard evaluation at the Cremona circuit in May, where Honda Racing UK collaborated closely with Team HRC, this entry offers the opportunity to further strengthen that partnership in a competitive setting.

Bridewell will race on his Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, which has been prepared by Honda Racing UK and modified to meet WSBK regulations. The team has already secured two wins and 13 podiums this season in British Superbikes with the BSB-spec Fireblade SP.

Team Manager Havier Beltran

“We’re excited to seize this opportunity to compete in the World Superbike round at Cremona next weekend. The chance to continue collaborating with our HRC colleagues in the WSBK paddock is something we couldn’t pass up.”

“I’m here to race—it’s what I love, so I’m really excited for this opportunity. We had hoped to join the WSBK round at Donington, but unfortunately, things didn’t quite fall into place. I really enjoyed the Cremona wildcard evaluation a few months back, and it’ll be great to apply what we learned there. This is a fantastic chance to keep building momentum as we head into the final few races of the BSB season.”
