Championship Standings and Season Outlook

Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Factory Team) currently tops the Championship standings with 129 points, holding a narrow seven-point lead over Ana Carrasco (Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team). Both riders claimed victories in the previous round at Portimao. Sara Sanchez (511 Terra&Vita Racing Team) solidifies her third place in the standings, thanks to two second-place finishes in Portugal. Beatriz Neila (Ampito / Pata Prometeon Yamaha) sits in fourth with 83 points, trailing Sanchez by 14 points but maintaining a comfortable gap ahead of Roberta Ponziani (Yamaha Motoxracing WCR Team).

Championship Battle Intensifies

As the Championship moves into the second half of the season with three rounds and six races remaining, the battle at the top heats up. Herrera leads with four wins, double the victories of Carrasco. However, Carrasco’s consistent podium finishes keep her within striking distance, just seven points behind Herrera.

Cremona Round Preview

The WorldWCR series now heads to Cremona, a track where the grid first tested back in May. Maria Herrera and Emily Bondi (YART Zelos Black Knights Team) were absent from the May test, but both have since managed to test on the track before this round. During the May test, Carrasco was the only rider to set a lap time in the 1’41s range, finishing a notable seven-tenths ahead of her competitors. Ponziani also displayed promising potential at her home track.
