Practice Highlights
Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) lost the final 25 minutes of Free Practice due to a Turn 16 crash. Despite this setback, the Turkish rider set the fastest time of the day with a 1’33.448 at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and teammate Alvaro Bautista were second and third fastest, respectively.
Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) continued his momentum from the Dutch Round podium, posting the fourth fastest time with a 1’34.462.
Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK riders Axel Bassani and Alex Lowes finished inside the top ten, focusing primarily on race simulations during Free Practice 2.
Razgatlioglu, Lowes, and Bassani were the only riders in the Top 10 who did not improve their times from Free Practice 1 to Free Practice 2.
P1 | Toprak Razgatlioglu | ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team
“Everything is okay. It was just a small crash and not a fast one. I’m happy because the crash happened before the race, allowing me to understand something important. I feel strong for tomorrow and, overall, I’m very happy. We have a very good package for the race weekend and everything is going well.”
P2 | Nicolo Bulega | Aruba.it Racing – Ducati
“During FP1, I didn’t feel very comfortable on the bike and had some issues with its setup. My team did a great job for FP2, but we still need to find something more for tomorrow. It’s challenging to stop the bike in the last part of braking into the corner as the rear is still pushing a bit. However, we improved a lot from FP1 to FP2, and I expect to improve even more tomorrow. It’s helpful that I know this track very well, even if I’m not yet familiar with it on a Superbike.”
P3 | Alvaro Bautista | Aruba.it Racing – Ducati
“Today was a bit strange. We started the morning trying the new front tyre from Pirelli, but I didn’t have the right feeling in the braking area. The bike struggled to stop and get into the corner. We eventually switched back to our standard front tyre. In the afternoon, we tried the new rear tyre, but I didn’t get the same feedback I had during the test. Although the bike was the same, my feeling was different, making it more difficult for me. I asked the team to make some changes to help with that. For the last exit, I used old tyres and managed to set my best lap time even with 15-lap old tyres. Doing a 1m33 is good.”

First career pole position for Yari Montella

Superpole Highlights
Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) claimed the first Superpole of his WorldSSP career with a time of 1’36.876. Montella, who won the opening round of the year in Australia, is currently second in the World Championship standings.
It was an action-packed session for Championship leader Adrian Huertas (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team). The Spaniard suffered an early crash in the Superpole session but bounced back to set a competitive time. However, a track limits penalty negated his fastest lap, relegating him to second on the grid.
The top three riders in the championship standings will start together on the front row of the grid.
Glenn van Straalen (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing), who won the Dutch Round, crashed during Superpole and qualified in 14th position.
Simone Corsi (Renzi Corse) was the leading Supersport Challenge rider, qualifying in 11th position.
