Tissot Superpole Race Highlights

Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) experienced an action-packed opening lap, initially losing positions but recovering to lead the first lap of the 10-lap Superpole Race.

On the third lap, Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) overtook Bulega for the lead and maintained a 1.651s lead at the chequered flag.

Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) secured his third Superpole Race podium of the season. Starting from fourth, he quickly moved into second place and then battled with Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) for third. Bautista crashed at Turn 10 on lap 5, finishing outside the points.

Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) achieved his best result of the season, finishing in seventh position.

Race 2 Highlights

Razgatlioglu started from pole but dropped to fifth on the opening lap, with Bulega taking the holeshot and leading into Turn 1.

Bautista, starting from the fourth row, moved into the top five after the opening lap and engaged in a race-long battle with Alex Lowes, ultimately securing third place on the 11th lap.

Razgatlioglu focused on building his speed and maintaining consistency, trailing Bulega by 1.5s after three laps. He took the lead one-third into the race, eventually opening a commanding lead and celebrating on the final lap.

While Lowes kept pressure on Bautista for the podium, his teammate Axel Bassani had his best weekend since joining the Kawasaki Racing Team, finishing seventh after a close duel with Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team), separated by just one-tenth of a second.

Championship Standings

Razgatlioglu leaves the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli leading the championship by 21 points. Bulega and Bautista traded places in the standings, with Bulega outscoring his teammate by 17 points at Misano.

Podium Quotes

P1 | Toprak Razgatlioglu | ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team

“Before the race, I said my target was to win all three races this weekend. We did it, and I want to thank my team because they did an amazing job! We improved the bike today, and I enjoyed the last race. It wasn’t easy with the hot conditions, and everyone was sliding more today, but I did a great job. This is a dream weekend, and everyone has worked very hard for these three wins!”

P2 | Nicolo Bulega | Aruba.it Racing – Ducati

“I’m very happy. I finished second, but I was on the podium in all three races this weekend. Toprak was very fast, but we will try again next time. My goal is to stay on the podium in every race. I’m very happy and want to thank all the fans here in Misano!”

P3 | Alvaro Bautista | Aruba.it Racing – Ducati

“I made a good start and could take a good line in the first few corners, recovering some positions. After that, I tried to get to my best pace, but the feeling from the bike wasn’t the best. We have to keep building my confidence and improving the setup. I would have liked to win here in front of the Ducati fans, but it was difficult. Toprak had an incredible level all weekend, and he was untouchable. We did our best, and we’ll try to keep improving for the next races.”

WSSP Red flagged race but a red letter day for Huertas

Huertas

Race 2 Highlights:

After waiting until the last moment to lead Race 1, Adrian Huertas (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team) was determined to assert himself in Race 2. By Turn 11 on the first lap, he had already taken the lead and started building a gap to the rest of the Supersport field.

Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) emerged as his closest competitor and seized the opportunity when Huertas ran wide at Turn 10 on lap 8. However, Montella’s lead was short-lived as Huertas regained the front position just before a red flag ended the race early.

The red flag was deployed two laps before the scheduled 18-lap distance due to a crash by Bahattin Sofuoglu (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) at the fast Turn 11.

Valentin Debise (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team), Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing), and Jorge Navarro (Orelac Racing Verdnatura) battled fiercely for the final podium spot, with Debise securing third place when the red flag was shown.

Simone Corsi (Renzi Corse) was the leading Supersport Cup rider, finishing in 11th position.

Podium Quotes

P1 | Adrian Huertas | Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team

“Our pace at the start of the race was incredible. I tried to open a gap and managed to build a significant lead. At that point, the race should have been easy, but I had a problem with my helmet. I solved it, but it was quite difficult to do while riding. I recovered a lot of time to Yari and retook the lead before the red flag. This has been an incredible weekend. I led almost all the sessions, and I think this shows the work we are doing as a team.”

Championship contenders Petr Svoboda (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki) and Daniel Mogeda (Team#109 Retro Traffic Kawasaki) were both sidelined due to injury.

Podium Quotes

P1 | Aldi Satya Mahendra | Team BrCorse

“I’m very happy because this is my first victory of the season. It was a very difficult race because I started from 10th on the grid. I tried to push from the start until the end but had a problem with the rear brake. I just stayed focused and tried to stay at the front. It’s a long season, and I want to stay focused and keep trying to score as many points as possible in every race.”
