Race 2 Highlights:
Spanish rider Maria Herrera of the Klint Forward Factory Team triumphed in an electrifying second WorldWCR race at the Misano World Circuit.
Herrera, along with Sara Sanchez (511 Terra&Vita Racing Team), Ana Carrasco (Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team), and Beatriz Neila (Ampito / Pata Prometeon Yamaha), formed a leading quartet early on. This group fiercely contested the podium positions throughout the twelve-lap thriller.
The final lap was decisive, with Herrera and Sanchez breaking away and battling for the victory. Herrera narrowly clinched the win, finishing just 0.085 seconds ahead of Sanchez.
Meanwhile, Carrasco and Neila were locked in their own duel for third place. Carrasco ultimately prevailed, finishing 0.047 seconds ahead of Neila.
Local rider Roberta Ponziani (Yamaha Motoxracing WCR Team) ran a solitary race to secure fifth place.
Based on their fastest lap times in Saturday’s Race 1, Carrasco, Sanchez, and Ponziani started from the front row of the 23-strong Race 2 grid.
Alyssia Whitmore (Sekhmet Motorcycle Racing Team) was ruled unfit to compete in Race 2 due to acute gastroenteritis, while Mia Rusthen (Rusthen Racing) and Jessica Howden (Team Trasimeno) were unfit following injuries from Race 1.
Astrid Madrigal (ITALIKA Racing FIMLA) and Chun Mei Liu (WT Racing Team Taiwan) crashed out, and Emily Bondi (YART Zelos Black Knights Team) was forced to retire.

Podium Quotes:
P1 | Maria Herrera | Klint Forward Factory Team
“That was a tough race! It was difficult to pass Sara, and I thought she might win, but I managed to stop the bike a little later and get past her in the end. I didn’t expect to win both races this weekend, so I’m very pleased with these results. With this bike, the potential lies in your riding style. I didn’t make any changes to the bike over the weekend; my goal was to learn and understand the bike and the championship. It was a nice battle today, with everyone pushing to the max. Hopefully, we can grow this group of riders running at the front as the championship progresses.”
P2 | Sara Sanchez | 511 Terra&Vita Racing Team
“My goal this year is to try and win the championship or at least be on the podium in every race, so I’ve achieved my objective here at Misano. The last lap was tough; I tried to pass Maria through the long corner, but she got back past me. The hot conditions made it hard with the tyres, as the bike tended to slide out of the corners. Despite this, I managed the situation as best as I could. I was pleased to be in the fight this weekend, especially against someone with Maria’s experience. Now we’ll focus on preparing for the next round at Donington.”
P3 | Ana Carrasco | Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team
“I’m not happy with third place, but I think I did all I could today. I had front chatter problems from lap one, particularly through the first sector, which cost me time compared to Maria. I tried to push, but the front kept closing on me, making it difficult to maintain pace. I thought I might still be able to challenge for the win, but I lost ground when Neila passed me and couldn’t make up the time. Passing Neila at the end for third was the best I could do. Starting the season with two podiums is quite good, especially after a long time not racing. Now we’ll focus on Donington, where I hope we can take another step and fight for victory again.”
