
Davey Todd showcased his prowess during Wednesday evening’s qualifying session at the Isle of Man TT Races, as the Milwaukee BMW Motorrad rider dominated both the Superbike and Superstock leaderboards, clocking speeds of 131.821mph and 130.439mph, respectively.
In the Supersport class, Michael Dunlop claimed the top spot with an impressive 126.917mph, while Jamie Coward led the way in the Supertwin class aboard his KTS Racing powered by KW Electrical/Steadplan Kawasaki, reaching 119.285mph. The Sidecar class saw Ryan and Callum Crowe, representing the Isle of Man, setting the pace at an increased speed of 118.814mph.
The evening’s first session, featuring the Superbike/Superstock competitors, commenced under bright and sunny conditions albeit with a breeze. Dean Harrison (Honda Racing UK) and Coward (KTS Racing powered by Steadplan Honda) led the pack, followed by other contenders including James Hillier (WTF Racing Honda), Ian Hutchinson (Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles Honda), Todd, and Josh Brookes (Monster Energy BMW by FHO Racing).
Despite some initial delays for Michael Rutter (Bathams Ales BMW) and Conor Cummins (Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles Honda), the session progressed with notable performances. Coward set an early benchmark at 128.220mph on his Superstock machine, swiftly followed by Todd with an impressive 131.821mph on his Superbike. Dunlop also breached the 130mph mark at 130.342mph, trailed by Peter Hickman (129,339mph) and Brookes (129.007mph). Hillier emerged as the fastest Superstock rider with a lap of 128.318mph.
As the session unfolded, Todd maintained his momentum, while other riders opted for pit stops or continued for a second lap. Brookes notably clocked 205.098mph through the Sulby speed trap. Todd slightly slowed on his second lap, but still managed 131.745mph, while Brookes improved to 129.205mph. John McGuinness surged to fourth fastest in the Superbike class with a speed of 129.269mph. Meanwhile, David Johnson impressed aboard the Platinum Club Kawasaki, securing the sixth spot on the Superbike leaderboard with a lap of 128.348mph.
Hickman surged to the top of the Superstock class with a lap of 129.723mph, leading Coward by 7 seconds, though Todd ultimately overtook them both with a speed of 130.349mph. Cummins and Harrison also made significant progress, with the latter securing fourth position on the leaderboard with a speed of 129.226mph.
In the subsequent session at 7.25pm, Dunlop continued his dominance in the Supersport category with a lap of 126.034mph, followed closely by Coward at 125.674mph. Hickman, Paul Jordan, Mike Browne, and Harrison also showcased commendable performances. In the Supertwin class, Coward emerged as the quickest, posting a lap of 119.285mph, followed by Hickman with a late lap of 118.851mph.
The Sidecars session commenced at 8.10pm, with the Crowe duo setting the pace at 118.814mph on their first lap. Founds/Walmsley and Birchall/Rousseau followed suit with impressive performances before the session was interrupted by a red flag, curtailing further action.

“I’m sure you have all heard by now that we had an issue incident in tonight’s qualifying. It happened just after bishops court. Sorry your practice got cut short gus.
We will be ok tho. Tom has suffered with cuts and bruises, soft tissue damage and is walking wounded. And he has been discharged.
I have 2 punctured lungs (only small) a laceration of n my liver, concussion. Soft tissue damage and cuts and bruises and they are keeping me in n for observation, hopefully they will let me out tomorrow but we will see.
I have my thoughts on what happened but we will know more when the lads have had a good look at what used to be a bike.
