Mark your calendars for a summer weekend of speed, adrenaline, and unforgettable moments – the British Grand Prix MotoGP™ is confirmed to return to Silverstone from 7–9 August 2026.*
This marks the first major event announced on Silverstone’s 2026 calendar – and it’s set to deliver everything fans love: world-class motorcycle racing, live music, family-friendly attractions, and that unmistakable buzz that only MotoGP™ can bring.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of MotoGP™, shared his excitement:
“Any time we confirm a return to a circuit, the countdown begins for what promises to be another spectacular Grand Prix. After constructive talks with Silverstone, we’ve agreed on bringing the event back to its traditional August slot. We believe this move will be welcomed by fans who enjoy soaking up the action at one of MotoGP’s most historic venues during the peak of summer. It’s one of the first official dates for 2026 – great news for fans in the UK and beyond who are already looking ahead to next season.”
Stuart Pringle, Silverstone’s CEO, echoed the sentiment:
“We’re thrilled to bring MotoGP back to August in 2026. It’s something our fans have consistently asked for, and we’ve taken that feedback seriously. Summer suits the British Grand Prix – it brings an unbeatable vibe, and we’re already busy planning a weekend packed with high-octane racing and plenty of off-track entertainment to match.”
