Sam Lowes to Continue with Elf Marc VDS Racing in 2025 WorldSBK Championship
The Elf Marc VDS Racing Team is thrilled to announce the extension of its partnership with Sam Lowes for the 2025 WorldSBK Championship. After a successful transition from Moto2 to WorldSBK this year, both Lowes and the team are eager to build on their progress and aim for top results next season.
In their debut season in WorldSBK, Lowes and the team have been adjusting to the new challenge of racing with Ducati Panigale V4 R machinery. While adaptation has been key, the 34-year-old rider has already shown his potential, securing a season-best sixth place at Assen and a front-row start at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Now, with the remainder of the 2024 season ahead, the focus is on continuing to improve and finishing the year strong.
Sam Lowes’ Thoughts on the 2025 Contract Extension
“I’m very happy and proud to be staying with the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team for another year in WorldSBK. Our goal has always been a two-year plan due to the major differences between Moto2 and WorldSBK. Despite a challenging few races with my shoulder injury, the early rounds were promising, and we made good progress. I’m looking forward to some strong results in the final part of this season, and we’re working hard to make key improvements that will help us start 2025 at a higher level.
