FRANCESCO BAGNAIA (Ducati Lenovo Team)
How was your summer break? Your confidence must be sky-high…
“Honestly, it was great to take a small break after the GP at Sachsenring. I went to Sardinia with my wife, which was fantastic for some rest. During the week of our wedding, I started training again. Balancing training with wedding preparations wasn’t easy, but the wedding day was incredible—better than I expected. Then came World Ducati Week, which is intense for a Ducati rider because you want to engage with the fans. I enjoyed every moment and hope the Ducati fans did too.”
Is Silverstone a good track to continue your impressive run?
“I love the track layout; it’s one of the best—long, smooth, and not very bumpy. This season’s unusual heat will be new, but I think I’ll enjoy it.”
Were you more nervous about getting married or racing?
“It’s different, but I’ve never cried like when I walked with my mum at the wedding. It was very emotional, more so than being on a GP grid.”
JORGE MARTIN (Prima Pramac Racing)
Reflecting on the summer break, what did you learn and will you change anything?
“First, I want to publicly congratulate Pecco. It was an amazing moment for him, and I’ve known him for years. The break was good, but I didn’t completely switch off. Even on the beach, I tried to maintain my fitness. I analyzed recent crashes with my team to identify patterns and work on avoiding them in the future to regain lost leads and opportunities.”
MARC MARQUEZ (Gresini Racing MotoGP™)
Silverstone is very different from the Sachsenring. Do you feel prepared to fight for the win this weekend?
“After a good summer break, we’ll try to start the second half of the season well. As Pecco said, Silverstone is a great circuit, but I don’t want to make any predictions until we start riding. These two guys are a bit faster than us.”
How did your first World Ducati Week experience help you understand being part of the Ducati family?
“It was my first event with Ducati, and the big bosses told me I’d start to feel what it means. I realized Ducati is not just about MotoGP™; it’s a philosophy. The Ducatista’s support was overwhelming.”
