Glenn Irwin Sets Fastest Time in Final Free Practice
Glenn Irwin topped the final free practice session for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship on Saturday, setting the fastest time of the weekend with his final lap of the session. Irwin’s teammate, Tommy Bridewell, finished second, just 0.072 seconds behind.
Bridewell had been the pacesetter for most of the session, but Irwin was able to put in a late charge to take the top spot. Jason O’Halloran finished third, with Ryan Vickers fourth and Leon Haslam fifth.
Danny Buchan was sixth, ahead of Josh Brookes and Lee Jackson. Danny Kent and Charlie Nesbitt rounded out the top ten.
The results of the final free practice session set the grid for eBay Qualifying, which will take place later today. The top two riders in qualifying will start the race from the front row, while the third-place finisher will start from the second row.
The Bennetts British Superbike Championship is set to get underway later today with eBay Qualifying at 1:15 PM BST. The first race of the weekend will start at 3:15 PM BST.
