Nesbitt Dominates with a Perfect Friday Bridewell Finishes 12th

BSB Oulton Park: Friday Practice Recap

Charlie Nesbitt enjoyed a flawless Friday at Oulton Park, finishing both practice sessions in first place. The MasterMac Honda team carried their momentum from Cadwell Park, leading both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Nesbitt, fresh off his first podium of the year at Cadwell, continued to dominate the British Superbike timesheets. Close behind him was FHO Racing’s Josh Brookes, who surged into second place late in the session, getting his weekend off to a strong start.

Lee Jackson, Nesbitt’s teammate at MasterMac Honda, secured third place. Jackson had initially led the session but was edged out during the final time attacks.

Kyle Ryde, riding for OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing, was the fastest Yamaha on Friday, finishing in fourth. With his sights set on the BSB title, Ryde is looking for a strong performance this weekend.

Ducati riders Glenn Irwin and Christian Iddon completed the top five and six spots, respectively. Both riders, sitting third and fourth in the Championship standings, are seeking a positive weekend to bolster their title hopes.

Yamaha riders Danny Kent and Ryan Vickers finished seventh and eighth. Kent improved significantly in the afternoon after placing ninth in the morning. However, Vickers had a tough session, stopping on track due to mechanical issues. Leon Haslam, after a promising third-place finish in Free Practice One, couldn’t find the same pace in the afternoon and dropped to ninth.

Rounding out the top ten was Danny Buchan from DAO Racing Kawasaki, who carried his strong form from Cadwell Park into Oulton Park.

Just inside the automatic Qualifying Two cut was Tommy Bridewell, finishing 12th. The Honda Racing UK rider, typically strong at Oulton Park, struggled to get up to speed early in the weekend.
