Skinner Secures First Bennetts BSB Race Win for Scotland

Race 2
Rory Skinner delighted the Scottish home crowd by clinching his first Bennetts British Superbike Championship race victory for the Cheshire Mouldings BMW Motorrad team, finishing 4.895s ahead in a closely contested battle. Tommy Bridewell and Christian Iddon fought fiercely for the remaining podium spots, with only 0.014s separating them at the finish line.

Skinner seized the lead at the Hairpin and steadily built a gap, while Kent emerged as the fastest rider on the circuit, engaging in a battle for third with Bridewell. Despite running wide at the Hairpin, Iddon maintained his position, but a shifting issue hampered his pace in the closing laps.
Storm Stacey secured his best result with the Team LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki in fourth place, followed by Charlie Nesbitt and Fraser Rogers, who engaged in a tight battle throughout the race, achieving their best results of the season so far.
Billy McConnell led the C&L Fairburn Properties/Look Forward Racing Honda team with a seventh-place finish, while Glenn Irwin made an impressive climb from 27th on the grid to eighth on the Hager PBM Ducati.
Lee Jackson and Max Cook completed the top ten, while Leon Haslam and Peter Hickman retired from the race due to technical issues.
