Tommy Bridewell stayed at the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice leaderboard at Snetterton, propelling the Honda Racing UK team ahead of their rivals after the opening two sessions in Norfolk. Bridewell edged out Hager PBM Ducati’s Glenn Irwin by a mere 0.052 seconds.

After leading the morning session, Bridewell saw times continue to tumble in the afternoon. However, the reigning champion managed to maintain his advantage, returning to the top with 20 minutes left and setting the benchmark time on his final sequence of laps.

Glenn Irwin, aiming to bounce back after Knockhill, secured second place on his final run, pushing local contender Ryan Vickers to third by 0.334 seconds. This put three different manufacturers in the top three positions.

Kyle Ryde was fourth fastest, closing in on his teammate on the second OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing R1. Danny Kent rounded out the top five for McAMS Racing Yamaha.

Josh Brookes surged to sixth in the closing stages on the leading FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team M 1000 RR, nudging Christian Iddon and Jason O’Halloran to seventh and eighth, respectively.

Charlie Nesbitt also moved into the top 12 in the closing minutes, finishing ninth fastest and securing a spot in Speedy Hire Q2 tomorrow in Norfolk.

Rory Skinner completed the top ten for the Cheshire Mouldings BMW Motorrad team, followed by Lee Jackson and Andrew Irwin in the top 12. Billy McConnell just missed out, finishing 13th on the C&L Fairburn Properties/Look Forward Racing Honda.
