Davey Todd Joins FHO Racing BMW Motorrad for 2025 Isle of Man TT and British Superbike Championship

FHO Racing BMW Motorrad has made a bold move for the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races, announcing that Davey Todd will race for the factory-supported team alongside current team star Peter Hickman. This pairing promises to create a “dream team” in road racing as both riders aim to dominate the TT scene aboard the latest BMW M1000R.

Todd and Hickman, who combined for three wins at TT 2024, will compete in the RST Superbike TT, Milwaukee Senior TT, and PE and RL360 Superstock TT races. Additionally, the duo will tackle the 2025 British Superbike Championship, with Todd stepping up from the Superstock Championship, which he won for the second time in 2024.

Todd’s Excitement for 2025

“I’m absolutely over the moon to be joining the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team for 2025 and really excited to be continuing with BMW,” Todd shared.

“I loved riding the bike this year, and joining one of the biggest teams in the paddock is something I’m really looking forward to. Pete’s a good friend of mine, so being his teammate is going to be pretty cool.”

A Formidable Partnership

This partnership is a strategic move by BMW, aiming to create a dominant force in both the Isle of Man TT and the British Superbike Championship. Hickman, a seven-time TT winner since debuting with the team in 2022, brings unparalleled experience, while Todd is eager to add to his own impressive track record, which includes wins at the RL360 Superstock TT and the Milwaukee Senior TT in 2024.

“BMW wanted Pete and me in the same team because we all share the same goal: to be the dominant force,” Todd explained.

He added, “Pete’s a good friend, and being teammates can only benefit both of us. We’re similar in that we let our racing do the talking while staying laid-back off the track. Sharing data and helping each other will make us faster and stronger.”

Todd’s Career Highlights

Todd’s rapid rise in road racing has been nothing short of extraordinary. In 2024, he became the third-fastest rider in TT history, clocking a lap at 135.664mph during the RST Superbike TT, where he finished second to Hickman. Later in the week, Todd secured his maiden TT victories and achieved a total of five podium finishes.

His talent extends beyond road racing. Having won the Superstock Championship in both 2022 and 2024, Todd now sets his sights on the premier British Superbike Championship (BSB).

“I want to prove that I’m not just a road racer,” Todd said. “I’ve won two Superstock titles, so there’s nothing left for me to prove in that class. I’m ready to make the step up and have a full season in BSB with a competitive package.”

The Road Ahead

Before the Isle of Man TT in May 2025, Todd will race alongside Hickman in FHO Racing BMW Motorrad colors at the Macau Grand Prix. The team, bolstered by increased BMW support, is gearing up for a season that could redefine their legacy in both road racing and the BSB Championship.

“I’ve matured a lot as a rider and learned so much about myself over the past few years,” Todd reflected. “Everything’s in place for a successful 2025. I’m super excited about the challenges ahead and can’t wait to get started.”

With Todd’s eagerness to prove himself and Hickman’s unmatched experience, FHO Racing BMW Motorrad is set to make waves in 2025, promising fans a thrilling season to remember.
